Asphalt 8 Airborne is an arcade style racing game for IOS, Android, Xbox, PC, and Apple TV. These are some tips tricks and advice for the game.
General Usage
Asphalt 8 is generally a simple game. There are ten (eleven, depending on the device) seasons, seven game modes, and nearly 150 cars. Each season contains roughly 25 races (except the ninth, which has a race for every car). There is also multiplayer, which is quite fun (unless your against hackers or OP cars). There are limited time cups, which don't expect to get high-rewards until you've made it past the game and own half the cars, we'll get to that later.
Career
Career Mode is where you make your way through tiers in a single player mode. The first car you begin with is the Dodge Dart GT, regardless.
It's okay but doesn't get you far. When you get the money, buy the Audi R8 e-tron.
At 1,500 Credits, it's worth the money, a useful skill with this car is to conserve a little nitro, so when a faster car like the Cadillac ATS attempts to pass you, you blast the nitro and knock them down as they pass. If races get difficult upgrade the nitro or top speed. Halfway through season 1, you'll need a C-Class car. Save up for the Mercedes Benz SLS Electric Drive.
This car has good acceleration, useful for getting ahead early, and nitro is better than cars like the Audi RS3 Sportback. If races get difficult upgrade the top speed or acceleration. In season 2, B Class is introduced, opening a need for a new car. The best starting B Class is by far the Citroen Survolt.
At 8,500 Credits, it's actually faster than other early B Class like the Aston Martin DB9 Coupe. This car can last a long time, and is very efficient. If races get hard, upgrade nitro or top speed. A new skill could be needed, you want nitro on almost all the time, so you need to get it. Take short routes but go for the tanks (the golds are preferable) take jumps, and developed a new skill. As you already know, drifting increases nitro, so if your on a straight with no nitro, press the break and quickly turn left and right. This motion makes to go straight and gain nitro, this skill is still used with pro gamers. By season 3, both the e-tron and the SLS are getting in 4th and 5th places, so it's time to upgrade. For D invest in the Mini Cooper S Roadster.
It's nitro is great and keeps up with the competition. If your struggling with the Mini, upgrade top speed.
For C, go for the Lotus Exige S Coupe.
It's nitro is also fantastic and has phenomenal acceleration. In fact, it's the fastest accelerating original C class. If you start struggling with this car, upgrade top speed or nitro. By season five, both an A class and a new B class is required. For A class, I'd recommend the Cadillac CTS-V Coupe Race Car.
It's nitro is pretty good, and accelerates quicker than other starting A class like the Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR-X. If you start struggling with this car, upgrade acceleration, top speed, or nitro. A nice upgrade of a B Class includes either the Nissan GTR, or the Ferrari 458 Italia.
The drift-in-a-straight-line technique will be very necessary for the Italia, for it has bad nitro duration. I found it easier to win B Class races with the Italia, but if you can't handle bad nitro duration, go for the GTR. Upgrade top speed of your having trouble. By season 6, you will need a S class car, go for the Ferrari FXX.
It will need a lot of drifting-in-a-straight-line, it's nitro duration isn't very good. But it can overtake cars like the Mercedes Benz Silver Lightning, and is much cheaper than the Bugatti Veyron 16.4
Grand Sport Vittese. If your having trouble (which you will) upgrade the top speed or acceleration. By season 7, you'll for sure need a new A Class car, for sure get the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento.
It has great traction, acceleration and nitro, plus it's top speed isn't bad. So it's pretty much the perfect car. I still use it, and I've finished the game and own 90 cars.(Although it'll be replaced soon)
Multiplayer
Multiplayer is a mode that players can play live against other players. Certain cars perform better due to things like nitro duration and fake speed. (Fake speed is essentially the speed showed is not the actual speed the car is going, this is most common is S Class cars, but is also in cars like the Evoque) I will list cars that are good at multiplayer (or MP for short) and strategies to use. (Note you shouldn't start trying MP until you've at least unlocked the fourth tier) The first, and probably cheapest, car to buy is the Citroen Survolt.
It has great nitro duration, and acceleration (two of the three things that are great for MP) Make sure to only upgrade top speed and nitro for the best performance. Another great car for MP, is the Renault Dezir.
This cars nitro makes it astonishingly good, especially with a Tuning Kit, which adds a +100 rank! And it's only 180 Tokens. Upgrade nitro for maximum speed. Another D Class is the Honda S2000.
This car has great nitro duration, so it's quite good at MP, plus, it's acceleration isn't bad. Upgrade top speed on this one. Another great one is the Range Rover Evoque.
It's nitro duration and fake speed make it almost unbeatable in MP. Also, it's reasonably cheaper than cars like the S2000. Upgrade top speed for this one. Another great car for MP is the Rinspeed zaZen.
It's nitro duration is superb, I personally think Gameloft introduced it just for MP. Upgrade nitro or top speed on this one. The final one I'm going to introduce is the ridiculously fast Chevrolet 2016
Camaro SS.
Sure, it's a token car, but just upgrading top speed will enhance it's fake speed, making this car 10-
20mph (16-32kmh) faster than the opponent. Upgrade top speed fully for full potential of the car.
Other cars that are good for MP are: Mini Cooper S Roadster, Subaru Impreza, Alfa Romeo 4C (R&D car), Felino cB7, Lamborghini Miura, ED Design Torq (R&D car), Mercedes Benz Biome, Shelby Cobra 427 (Mastery car), Ferrari 599XX, Honda Integra Type-R, Lamborghini Sesto Elemento, Lamborghini Asterion, McLaren P1, McLaren 675LT, and Trion Nemesis.
Time Limited Events (Cups)
Time limited events (TLEs) are timed events that allow you to win big prizes. There are four kinds of TLEs, Normal ones, MP ones, Tag Racing ones, and stage ones.
All of those self-explanatory except stages. Stages is essentially that there are different stages to earn "Trophies". Say Monday is stage one, if you get in first you get three trophies. Tuesday if you win you get three trophies, it repeats till Friday, where if you got all 18 trophies you win a free car. Make sense? (Any further questions should go in the comments)
You should tune into these, because most will award you just for finishing a race. You may be tempted to boost, but I wouldn't recommend that right away. I'd only suggest double boosting (Full Tank and Tuning Kit) for events your comfortable with and have a significant car. (Not an un- upgraded Dart) I'd only recommend triple boosting (Full Tank, Tuning Kit, and Double Tank) if you have the best possible car, MAX/PRO, and know the track. Otherwise, steer clear of boosts.
(That's it for now, tune in for more!)
